Standing in the gap with God's strength.

In Ezekiel chapter 22:30, God said "I searched for a man among them who would repair the wall and stand in the gap before me on behalf of the land so that I might not destroy it but I found no one".

The condemnation of God searching for a man to stand in the gap and finding none, as described in Ezekiel 22; 30, is a sobering thought and one that should shake us to our core. It's not difficult to see all of the moral gaps that exist today as our culture not only embraces, but promotes sin at an alarming rate. The words spoken by God through Ezekiel  are as fresh and applicable today as they were when Ezekiel first heard them.

Gaps are bad. Brick walls remain secure as long as the mortar remains intact. Military defensive plans remain strong as long as gaps are filled and men remain focused. The enemy doesn't target or exploit where we are strong, but rather where we're week. This is especially true with regard to our souls. Satan is relentless and looking for gap's or chinks in our character, and although we may not consciously be aware of these flaws, he is. When a man commits to being Gods gap filler, it puts him into the enemies crosshairs. Satan will do everything possible to prevent God's kingdom work. However, take heart!  He whom you serve is more powerful than Satan. The walls of our families, communities, and Nation are desperately in need of men and women to stand in the gap. Will you stand shoulder – to – shoulder with other men and women to fill a gap today
